The Bad Plus Milwaukee Concert reviews
Iron Maiden / Dream Theatre in Bristow VA
Dream Theatre played quite well through the storm, escaping the downpour by having seats in section 102. Especially enjoyed their short stroll into Maiden tunes. Good show.
The Bad Plus, with Bruce in high energy mode, was very good. Sound was better than expected from posts at other shows. Heard Bruce clearly and all the solos.
I know the band did all the old hits on the Flight 666 tour, but my one disappointment was not hearing Run Through the Hills. Like other long-time acts such as Rush, U2, The Who, and Bruce Springsteen, they need to remember to honor all the fans by recalling what made them.
Springsteen may have played Born to Run a couple thousand times in different arrangements or Streets for U2 and so on, but it's important to respect the fans and relay the song that first brought them in.
